Living Indigo: Transformative Therapy for Teens
Living Indigo therapy is a combination of energy work, Reiki healing and Divine spiritual counseling that allows
teenagers to open to their gifts, work through anxiety, depression and rage issues and ultimately teach them tools
to enhance their success in the academic world and mainstream society. Rev. Marcia Coleman is a certified Special
Education teacher (K-12) with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She uses her experience as a high
school learning specialist, spiritual advisor, Reiki Master and conduit of Divine energy to integrate and balance
the energy of teens that struggle academically, socially, physically and emotionally.
Marcia's focus is on the Indigo revolution. Based on the work of Lee Carroll, Dr. Meg Losey and others researching
the “new” children incarnating on Earth, Living Indigo is therapy designed for the teenagers of today. According
to www.metagifted.org, “Indigo Children” have been born every year throughout time; however never has their
presence been so significant. Researchers in the Indigo field believe that between 70% and 99% of children born
since 1978 are Indigo in their nature.
Living Indigo Therapy may include one or more of the following:
- academic tutoring (Marcia is a licensed special education teacher and learning specialist for grades K - 12)
- Divinely guided counseling
- Reiki healing treatments
- energy work
- chakra balancing
- creative arts and music
More Information on Indigo Children
The name “Indigo Child” was first published in the 1982 book titled Understanding Your Life Through Color by
Nancy Ann Tappe and many believe the name refers to the bluish-purple color of the auric energy field found in such
children. Many books on the topic have been published since the introduction of the Indigo child, including
Lee Carroll’s The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived and Dr. Meg Losey’s The Children of Now.
While this revolution of new souls has not been scientifically verified, experts in the field believe that there
are too many signs to argue against the Indigos existence. Some common characteristics of Indigo children are that
they often act superior in situations or have the opposite response and withdraw completely, have difficulty conforming
to societal norms, are frustrated in school either due to learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s syndrome and Autism
or are gifted in school but are frustrated due to stifled creativity. Indigo kids typically feel as though they do not
fit in and often show rage toward others or withdraw into their own worlds. They are extremely sensitive both emotionally
and physically and tend to feel anxious or depressed. Some hold unconventional belief systems and are naturally drawn to
spiritual subjects such as the paranormal. Many possess multidimensional awareness and are extremely intuitive in nature.
